High-performance concrete with high strength and durability is widely used in the construction field, due to its low water/gel ratio, drying & deformation is commonly happened.
Shrinkage is usually caused by pore’s relative humidity reduce, to solve the problem of cracking, the 1st step is to control the shrinkage of concrete,i.e,to improve the inside moisture content of concrete.
As a new & functional material, super absorbent polymer(SAP in short) is added into concrete, it can absorb 30-40times of its own weight of water, absorb and release slowly, the saturated SAP’s inner moisture can prevent the loss of water outwardly.When the temperature increases, the moisture migration occurs, moisture will break the adsorption of SAP, and the humidity migrates from high potential to low potential, reduce the migration potential gradient, then make the concrete inner moisture distribution evenly and reduce the humidity difference capability.
The adding of SAP in concrete can prevent concrete cracking and increase the strength of concrete , improve concrete’s performance of impermeability and antifreeze. It’s recommended to use concrete that added SAP in some arid , windy , and cold places.

Dosage: in dry mixing, ratio of SAP vs cement: 380g~400g:1000kgs
I.e, add 380~400g SAP if you need to add 1000kgs cement when making concrete.
